The Old Folks Home

I somehow dunked one of my cell phones in a cup of coffee, rice didn't help. Full of vids and pics of my kids, can't load them cause screen not working, can't unlock it.
Phone turns on but screen doesn't work.
Still have it not sure what to do, hoping somehow I can get it unlocked and download all the vids and pics. :hit
Use the cord, and attach your phone to your computer. You should be able to get into the files you need, and copy them onto your computer. Even if the phone screen doesn't work, when you plug it into your computer, everything will show up on your computer screen. See if there is a place locally that repairs the phone screens. You will have to decide if it's worth the cost to replace it, or whether it might be a good idea to visit your provider about getting another phone.

Good for you, @CapricornFarm! Keep hatching!

I just looked at our forecast, they are calling for scattered frost again tomorrow night so I'll be covering things up again...drats!
Hey Micro, just locked down two more incubators! As soon as I figure out how to adjust the Chinabator, I am going to fill it up again.

Sadly I can't get that to work from my Motorola TracFone to my MacBook. One reason I don't take pictures on it to post here. I have to get onto BYC on the phone to get the photos. I get this message

If it means "unlocked" as in unlocking a phone so it can be used by different cell providers, I know I'm done. Though I have owned it a year so I SHOULD be able to unlock it. I hear the TracFone "dance" to unlock is not all that easy. No idea how to select "File Transfer" or "MTP" (whatever that is).

And then there were 21. Zorra died this morning, she was a month shy of 8 years. She's been off by herself during the day the last few weeks and not interested in morning BOSS or evening scratch so I knew she was fading. Last night she was in the closed nest box instead of up on the roost, same thing Yue (same 2012 batch of chicks) did last fall so I figured she would similarly live only a couple more weeks.

But this morning she had (I assume) a heart attack right outside the barn when I was tossing out BOSS and feed. Fell over right in front of me, I picked her up and she died almost immediately. Frankly I'd rather that than to find her just dead somewhere, I know she didn't suffer.

Zorra would go broody a few times a year and raised many of the remaining 21 girls.

This is her last June

Unlocked does not mean for other cell providers. That's called "jailbreaking". Unlocking the files means that you give it permission to transfer the files to your computer. You should be able to take it to your cell provider, and they can get the files off for you. Did you see if anyone replaces screens, and the cost?
