I am working remotely so can't take a nap! I am supposed to respond to emails within 10 minutes.Good news there, Diva. Must be a relief!
Saw getaclue's post and had to read a ways to realize that a SSD was not some kind of dog. Mea culpa. I am definitely not as tech-savvy as most here.
Monsoon season is trying to work its magic here. What's noticeable is the high humidity. We had a nice shower last night, so the weeds are easy to pull today. I enjoy weeding about as much as I do housework. (bleh) But I realize it's a necessary evil if I am to harvest veggies and not go on an expedition hunt for them. It's a love/hate relationship with the veggie compound. All the varminting this year was really discouraging. BUT things are starting to sprout and grow (again), so in about a month I hope to be a happy camper with the greening out there.
I planted three different kinds of kohlrabi and the Purple Viennese and White Viennese bulbed up and did their proper thing. The third is supposedly a giant bulbing type, but all we've seen is mounds of greenery (which is edible, thankfully.) All that has been harvested lately is lots and lots of greens...and will be for a while.
The chickens are doing great. I'm thinking of branching out and adding some Dampierre to the mix. Something about French breeds appeal to me and I'm a sucker for splashes.
That's about all that's new here. Just trying to stay healthy, which will be easy as our Gov is rescinding our Covid privileges. I feel like being grounded is on the horizon again. We are mandatory masks (even when exercising), no indoor dining, and visitors to our state must quarantine for 14 days and not visit our State parks. Thank goodness for streaming TV!
Has anybody discovered their nap quotient has gone up during this time of Covid?
I hope the new infections and deaths will be under control soon!
