The Old Folks Home

Morning everyone!

Coffee on board, breakfast in the 'done' file, ready to face the day. It's going to be in the 50s here today and then nose dive late tomorrow with a high of 23 on Wednesday. Holiday week or not that means get things done outside while we can, especially with DH's skin surgery tomorrow.

Hope ya all are having a good start to the week. I'm awaiting the arrival of a Kindle Fire that DH got for me. My old tablet is starting to get cantankerous so it was time to be replaced.

We had snow here back in 1998...It was gone that afternoon!
LOL. I was raised in south Louisiana. One time is snowed and we were sooo excited- we got to go out and make a snowman. Of course, the snow was only about an inch deep and the little snowman was covered in brown grass, but we thought it was beautiful. It was also gone by afternoon.

76 today, 56 tonight. No snow in sight.
This was a long time ago when we lived in St Pete. We woke up to a snow covered lawn but it melted very quick. It was just a dusting.

Pretty sure even with no access to grit, their food grinds itself. That gizzard is one strong muscle. I've never added grit. Free access to whatever most the year but right now frozen earth. I've never seen any probs.
Does take a bit to wear down rock. :old
