The Old Folks Home

Thanks Ron. It's nice to be back!
How are you and the family doing? Did you retire yet?
We are making it through the pandemic. We did lose a neighbor and a friend though.

Because of health care costs, I will likely need to retire when I am 65. Age 62 would be earliest with SSI but not ideal.

Hi everyone. Thought I would pop in and say hi.
Nice to see everyone.

Bruce congrats to your dd on her scholarships!

Penny thanks for the Christmas card. Reading about your cheesecake makes me want one.:drool lol

Hi Scg, good luck on your hatch. :fl

Hey, Cynthia, Al and Perris. :frow
CHICKA! So great to hear from you and glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery.

Did you get the card I sent you way back in Oct or November? Geese been so long that I don't even remember what month it was.

Great to see you stopping by @superchemicalgirl. You have been missed. Stay safe, stay healthy.

I've been busy finally working on my article about my experiences with Marek's Disease. The tentative title is; The Killer in the Shadows. How I Learned to Live With Marek's Disease In My Flock. Nothing technical. I'm leaving that to Nambroth but just my personal personal observations and experiences.

I'm sorry your having to wait to retire.
Ya'll stay healthy.
My dh is also working another year for insurance reasons.

I'm sorry Micro, I really do not know. I spent nearly all of oct out of it completely. And Then again in Nov as I had to go back in the hospital. I was at my dd the first couple weeks of Oct.

Good luck with your book. You are very experienced in that area.

That's OK, @chickadoodles, I do understand. I'm just glad that you are okay.

We are having a fox invasion here. They are really kind of comical. For the past week they have been having 'bark offs' with our dogs. This morning it was at 4 AM in the woods to the east of the house. Dogs were not happy and neither were we so we turned the two oldest outside and they chased the interloper off. Tonight there is one across the street barking at our dogs and naturally our dogs are barking back at it. I'm glad my coop is metal clad and sitting on concrete. Don't know if it's the same fox. Kinda doubt it but I sure wish they would go elsewhere.
