Took my dog to the vet for her shots and annual checkup. They just called. They suspect Addison's disease. So another visit and test next Monday to see. No diarrhea, no vomiting, but some of the blood work numbers are off.

Let's see. DH had another skin cancer surgery on Monday (PLEASE guys wear your sunscreen while outside). I DIDN'T get to see the rheumy for my RA flare in my feet and in spite of my emergency steroids, the right foot is still painful. Our sweet cattle dog, Sidney has been vomiting off and on since Tuesday. Thought it was settling down, got worse yesterday afternoon. Couldn't get it under control so to the vets she went. Clamydia infection he says, antibiotics and lots of TLC. Cat with diabetes is being 'difficult' Blood sugar is either high or low. Accu checks twice a day with sliding scale that we make up as we go.

Well my week's been hell, hope y'all's been better.

Hopefully Sidney will be better soon!

Is there any word on getting a new Dr.?

Is there any word on getting a new Dr.?

I'm calling my DO on Monday and see if I can't get in to see him and talk to him about what happened and get this flare settled down more. I'm sure he won't be too happy when I tell him, especially since I had suffered with the pain for two more weeks than planned and then got stood up by them with no care offered till the end of next month.

Many years ago my mother had a dog who managed to dislocate his hip. Took him to the vet and decided to do a manual reduction and splint. I went in the next day to pick him up and got the bill. Surgery, x-rays, splint and cast, the whole nine yards was something like 250 dollars at the time. I asked them if they were sure that was the right amount for all they had done and they assured me it was.

I shook my head and asked them if I could transfer my records to them.

Me too. Mara (our dog) is our baby.

Sally we have 7 dog and 5 cat fur babies that we love dearly. No kids. Not in the cards for us and sometimes God says no. But He said yes to pets so we never turn away a rescue or any stray that shows up at our door.

So I understand.

Oh, I forgot the 50 odd and I do mean odd, chickens.
