I do it the old fashioned way, burn what's burnable and recycle cans and glass. Still have a pickup truck load that needs to go to the landfill. Stuff I gathered while cleaning up the place. One guy came and got two loads of scrap metal to sell.

We cannot burn garage here in woodland california!

I'm finally getting one of my coops cleaned. And about to strangle a few year old roosters. They beat up on one of my old boys who is very sweet and funny and injured his eye. They got kicked out in the run and the pop door slammed behind them. Little pukes.

Anybody want them? I'll tape em in a cardboard box, poke some holes in it toss in some scratch and fedex em to you....no take that back, wouldn't wish them off on my worst enemy...no wait there are a few people......

We pay for garbage pickup in town and the land fill charges quite a bit for dumping there. Some things are free like ewaste though

Probably, have you looked at the land west of California? I doubt many would take off into the desert not knowing what was beyond. I suspect the only reason people went west to CA was because there were already reports from the sailing explorers.

Google apparently didn't want me to find the quote, why their reasons are I will not get into. But Reagan said; "if the pilgrims had landed in California the east coast would still be a wilderness"
Every state in the US is beautiful If I was to pick up and move, not sure where all of them are awesome. Would come down to taxes and freedoms. I love NY, NY and California would not be on my list of must move to places Lol!

Been really carpy here, 40 degrees for three days and constant rain.

The man down at the bottom of the hill, on the water has a BIG fire pit area---I am assuming it is him that is smoking me out,, I am going to have to shut all of the windows GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
I did move all of the chicks into the coop today-



I'll go check on them in a bit, the big hens should be getting ready to head into the coop for the night

We finally got a bit of rain this evening. We've been needing it so bad.

Lots of rain! Big fat worms, chicken weather. All the chickens were chasing one with a huge worm, on closer inspection, I realized it was a baby bird! Before I was able to get a picture, she had swallowed it.
