The Old Folks Home

Frustrations from chronic illnesses are bad enough without having incompetent Drs. How well I understand what you are feeling right now and it seems if it goes on long enough, We start feeling as of it's some how our fault, maybe we complain too much or maybe we are concentrating too much on the problem and then the tears come...If it weren't for our friends and family's encouragement we would give up in utter despair. But because of their encouragement, we can focus again and realize this problem is REAL, no one can minimize that and our fight comes back. And some day, when we find the right Dr, or get the right help, we look back and are forever thankful we didn't give up..... And forever thankful for the family and friends that believed in us, persevered with us, and remained at our side.
What a wonderful post. Thank you so much Lovesfarms.

Last night I got a call from Hannibal and the clinic that is associated with the hospital there that employs the doctor I saw asking me if I felt that my concerns had been addressed with the doctor I saw. NO was my emphatic answer. Then Would you recommend the doctor you saw to your friends? An ABSOLUTELY NOT! to that question. I opted out of other questions at that point. I think they got the message.

More than one way to skin a cat.

@Hayden Goseek. I LOVE that last line. What a marvelous response. What is making me chuckle is that this babe thought she was talking to non medical people. Surprise. I told my husband that I admired his self control. I kept mine until I couldn't any more and then raised my voice and hammered her. When I did that she backed off, muttered about MRI's and X-Rays and you can step out of the room then...and fled. I knew at that point that I wasn't going to get anywhere with her as far as answers and advice was concerned and had nothing to lose. DH said that he would have said something sooner than I did but she had a heavy Pakistani accent and was a low/fast talker. And he has bad hearing. He said he didn't hear half of what she said but heard enough. I told him he was lucky.

Thanks Peep. Me too. My regular doc is great and I have an appointment to see my podiatrist on the third of August. She's a very nice lady. They have me on a call list in case they have a cancellation.

I wish I had read her reviews fully before going. I also wish I hadn't held my tongue for as long as I did with her. Hind sight is always a perfect 20/20.

There was about a 0% chance for rain today so naturally, it's pouring outside.
