Don'tcha know it! But instead of extentions, I used cattle panels to build turn out pens. I have a smaller (one panel pen) and a larger one (two panel pen) I use according to ages and number of young ones. Oh, and there's a converted greenhouse for growing out chicks too! Now, as the gals age and begin to lay, they are moved into a pen with some older birds already laying depending on size, color and egg size and color.

It was a beautiful day today after storms rolled through last night. Except every time I stick my head outside my allergies stage a revolt against my nose, eyes, ears, throat and all the listed begin to itch or run, or both along with sneezing.

Gave up finally and cleaned house. I'd love to turn off the AC but with my allergies in full fledged attack mode think I'll just turn up the temp and let it run along with my eyes, nose...well you get the picture.

Hey, @lovesfarms, how are things going?

I know you are knowledgeable about health and such. Have you tried nebulizing with H2O2 at all? There are wonderful bennies to doing it. I started over a week ago and finally got rid of the suitcases and puffiness under my eyes and can actually breath again. First couple of days there was almost a bruising under my left eye but as the bag went down, so did the redness.

Not nebulizing but I've been using nasal lavage for years now. I don't use the netti pots but the squeeze bottle type that you put the buffered saline and warm water in and then gently push it in one nostril and let it run out the other.

I swear that some government type tried it and said 'I got a great idea on something we can do to terrorists to get them to sing like a canary! We'll call it water boarding!'

Lately I've been putting a drop or two of baby shampoo in with the buffered saline to give it a bit more cleansing power.

It works, the lavaging, but it ranks right up there with unpleasant but necessary things like root canals and PAP smears.
