Food is medicine, and we need toThe reason I love traditional chinese medicine and ayurvedic medicine is because they are 'whole person' medicines. They also take into consideration a person's lifestyle including what a person stuffs in his pie hole. 80% of all dis-eases begin in the gut. Any doctor that refuses to even look at a person's lifestyle and eating habits, to me is trash. One exception are emergency doctors. My neurologist at Sacred Heart when I had the stroke said my cholesterol was upside down, then ask me what I tended to eat. He let me know fish was a good thing to have several times weekly. Also a mediterranean diet, if I chose not to use the Lipitor he proscribed.
How many people put a fuel additive in their car (or other internal combustion) engine? Or spend extra for a better grade of oil?
Tell them, nah, I just dump a couple gallons of milk in my gas tank, and it runs fine. See what kind of reaction you get.
I just finished the book, "Animal, Vegetable, Junk." Very interesting read about our food supply. Another really good one about food is "In Defense of Food."

Probably doesn't work on pugs and other dogs that have "pancake face". No pain to the dog other than not being able to go where they want.
That mastiff was a great dog... but stupid long puppy-hood. I hate puppies.
