The Old Folks Home

Sitting here with my jar of water. Coops have been scraped. Birds hanging close to the coops they like the rain less than me..

It is quite wet out, nice fire in the stove keeps the house warm.
Looking forward to fires in the wood stove.

Good morning.
Guess we had not heard is had been approved think I will call the clinic here and ask that is where we got our for vaccine and second ...
I had heard that it was up for approval for general use on Wed/Thurs of this week. :idunno

Do your young'ns look like they are nearing POL Sally? I'm sure I'm still several weeks out but my early June chicks are starting to get some red in the comb and wattles.
Not really. One is getting some size and darker pink in her comb/wattles. The other two, not so much. I'm thinking the one might start laying after the solstice, but I wouldn't be surprised if the other two don't lay until spring. :hmm

At least I'm confident they aren't cockerels! I count that as a plus. I bought sexed pullets, but ya never know for sure for a while. At 18 weeks, I'm pretty confident. Whew.
