I haven't been in a while. When Katrina hit DW and I both lost about a thousand books each. Hers were a lot of literature, southern novelist, signed. etc. Mine were a lot of historical nonfiction, medical research, diaries. I saved the 200 year old medical books.

Joy of Joys for me today!
YAY for my Maggie gal. Yesterday she left the dog cage (hospital room) to explore the hoop coop and was met with resistance. Hens really can be mean. KW was a gentleman, doing his dance but even when she bowed down and spread her wings he didn't mount her. Ownership was enough for him. Today was that group's day to free range and I thought she might pop back down to check out the coop in peace.. I watched and watched but she just perch outside her pen, so I got busy doing other stuff. Looked out the window and she was nowhere to be seen... O.O Got bread and suckered the rest into the hoop coop and shut the door then went looking for Maggie. She's never been out free ranging in all her 2 years here. Just as I passed SC's pen, here she come. I squatted down and she walked right into my hands. Guess all that time in the dog pen getting doctored and taken care of by Moi has really done a treat. She even gets treats out of my hand now, whereas before she wouldn't come near, not even for treats!
