The Old Folks Home

Rocking chairs available - good morning.
@SandyRiverChick so sorry for your loss. Dani our last golden retriever died post surgery for hemangiosarcoma. I understand your feeling of loss. In October we had Maggie Mae euthanized - less than two years old - suffered from seizures that could not be controlled. In addition to my beagles, we've had 7 'house' dogs. All mattered, but none as much as Maggie. I still grieve over her loss.
Awe, thanks for kind words and I'm so sorry for you loss too. I love beagles 😍 My childhood dogs were Newfies and 2 beagles, I still think about getting another beagle. What a sweet name too, Maggie. It's so tough, they just love you so perfectly. I can be in a crappy mood and they pull me right out of it. My Leonberger Luna was sweet to the core.

Old folks have lots of appointments to go to. I am going for a bone density test today, and maybe to Danville to make up a class i missed when i was sick last week.
Yesterday i pulled even more weeds! It's ridiculous. Never seen more weeds this early.
Plus spending time on pulling ticks off the dogs every night.

Don't you know Cap that old people retire so they can keep all their doctor's appointments?

Sorry to year that you were sick. Feel better.

Yes, we have had 5 days of rain here so everything is growing. Grass and weeds in particular. Once things dry out enough that I'm not squishing around I'll be out pulling weeds also.

I'll also be cleaning coops once the standing water is evaporated a bit.

Got my doctor's appointments out of the way last month. Got my left shoulder injected. Plop plop fizz fizz oh what a relief it is. I'm ready to face the summer!

We don't pick ticks here we kill the little beggers with Sentry Plus. Our two oldest dogs tested positive for tick born illness antibodies...even with treatment. Hate to think what they would have if we weren't treating.

I got bit by a lone start tick two months ago and wound up with a systemic bacterial infection from it. My third tick born infection. A trifecta! Maybe they will leave me alone now.
