The Old Folks Home

Good morning!

We're getting together with some friends for an early dinner, about 4 pm. We're all retired, so we can get there that early, have a great time bantering with the wait staff, and we always leave a good tip. One of the good things about getting older.
Awesome!!!

I’m not doing anything fun today like you guys :hit :lau although I am tomorrow lol fundraiser dinner for the clubhouse with homemade Italian food, a raffle with tons of cool prizes plus a 50/50, I think there’s gonna be music, etc.
I just gained a pound reading about your home made Italian food.

Lucky you.
Thanks!!

LOL it’s gonna be really good! I’ve had his cooking before including his chicken lol it’s gonna be chicken parm, eggplant parm, meatballs and sauce, ziti, Caesar salad, and somebody’s donating dessert but we don’t know what yet. Or maybe they know now, idk. But yeah.

Dawg, that sounds like it will be so much fun. Have a great time!
Thank you!!! My dad and his fiancée are going too as is my BF and his dad so it should be fun! My brother and his wife were going to go too but now wife is sick with Covid and flu so they’re laying low unfortunately. But they did donate anyway.

I too should have stayed on as a programmer/analyst at the college where I worked for more pension but I was so tired of the flack from stupid people in high places. When someone with a masters degree in education has to call IT to find out how to get a ? mark on a document they have been promoted to a level beyond there capability.
Hopefully I will be getting away from those things with the new job duties!

I have been seeing full professors refusing to learn how to use there computers for so may years it seems like normal lol!

If I stay two more years, I will be earning the same amount in Pension and Social Security as I earn now working and will not have to pay into my pension or Social Security.
