The Old Folks Home

Today, us two old farts had to roll a telephone pole over so hubby could chain saw it in half as it was 28' long. It was only a mile from home and had been lying there for at least 7 years that we know of. I never knew how heavy a telephone pole was!

Hubby wanted it as he's building me a breeder/growout pen/coop. This should be interesting!!

A few hours later, now neither of us can move without groaning. He went downstairs to soak in the whirlpool tub. I've got a heating pad on my back. We're too old to be doing this chit! :old
Good for you two! I’ve got one laying in my woods, I had forgotten about it.

I thought I had earned a bit of a rest today, so I did lazy type things. I took all the keycaps off my keyboard, and washed them up, then vacuumed inside the keyboard, and used a couple pipe cleaners to clean up inside my keyboard. It wasn't too bad, but it's time consuming with all the nooks, crannies, and small spaces. Then I replaced the keycaps. It looks like new. I washed, and folded a couple loads of clothes too, along with wiping the kitchen counters several times. Oh, I vacuumed the house too.

THEN somebody posts about rolling, cutting, and transporting a telephone pole, and my puny efforts seem pitiful by comparison. BUT my body isn't threatening to go on strike either.

We each do what we can. You did a lot more than I did today.

Cleaning your keyboard, doing a couple loads of laundry, vacuuming the house and cleaning your kitchen counters is your idea of a relaxing day doing nothing? Next time you think you deserve to take a day off and just relax, please come over to my house and do it, will ya? :lau

I'm on light duty only so I just worked with the tiny chicks. Son unloaded bags of feed out of the van. while I sat exploring BYC.
That's good you take it easy, and smart to have your son help. My oldest was here Friday for dinner and my hubby couldn't have thought of this telephone pole thing while he was here?

Good morning, OFs!
First measurable snow of the season and first ever snow for the pup. White background makes the squirrels easy to see!
