The Old Folks Home

I need a sleep storm. I so much wanted to take a morning nap. All I did was lay down. To much going around and around in my head. To much thinking about a hip replacement that they don't won't to give me and it I don't get it how often can I have those painful shots into the joints that make it possible to walk. It's hard not to think about it when the shot you've had starts wearing out.
I have "thunder sounds" on Alexa I have her play. It's like 80 cents a month or something to be an endless loop.

Ok. Six english muffin recipes. They all had:

1 1/4 c liquid. Some called for milk, some for water, one demanded a combination, and one called for water and powdered milk.
2 T butter or oil
1 t salt
1 T sugar or honey

Variations:

3 recipes call for 4 c flour, the others call for 2 3/4 c.
Most recipes call for 1 T yeast, except for the 24 hour no-knead version which calls for 1 t.

And they bear no relation to the recipes I found before.
Have you checked here? I'll betchya there'll be a couple good ones.

Good morning Old Folks, wet here still.
Wet here too. I have to be ever so careful around the coops where there is no grass. It is very, very slick from the wet on the clay. It will be dried out in a few days. Got some 70's in the forecast without rain for a few days now.

We have a few atmospheric rivers the next few days according to weather guessers.
Rubber boots is daily wear just now.
Yes, here, too. It was pouring over the past 2 days...we had 4.25" over Friday-Saturday. Just drizzly today and tomorrow but another wave of atmospheric river rains are expected Tuesday-Wednesday. Ah, well, this region is classified as "temperate rainforest"; we're grateful for the rain, as are the chorus of Pacific Tree Frogs serenading around the swollen creeks and in the slough (and in one of our gutters).Amazing how such tiny critters can make such a big sound!

I don't know how many inches we got but it was enough to run under the sides of the coops making a real stinky mess of some of the coops. I turned them out to play on grass as we got no rain today and it was better to let them spread today's piles of poop out over a grassy area.
