Well, the one doctor took out my eye to fix it, and handed it to another doctor. It was slippery, and he dropped it on the floor. It rolled out of the room, and down a flight of stairs and out the front door. Then it bounced onto a golf course. Someone who doesn't see well thought it was his ball, and took a whack at it, scoring a hole in one! Meanwhile, a nurse ran out to retrieve the errant eye. She brought it back, cleaned it off, and handed it to the doctor. He repaired it and put it back in.@CapricornFarm how did things go today?
Well, it is considered an eye-ball.Well, the one doctor took out my eye to fix it, and handed it to another doctor. It was slippery, and he dropped it on the floor. It rolled out of the room, and down a flight of stairs and out the front door. Then it bounced onto a golf course. Having had two eye surgeries here I do understand.Well, the one doctor took out my eye to fix it, and handed it to another doctor. It was slippery, and he dropped it on the floor. I'm glad the infusion went well for you. Rest up. I am resting today after Old Man Winter came back for another visit.Well, the chemo infusion went well. I'm really tired today, but so far I don't feel like I've been run over by a Mack truck. That's good. I'm expecting my hair to fall out within the next 9 days. The nurse was telling me that with this stuff, hair loss is not as much of a certainty, as with some of the other chemos. She said that it's more like 65/35 with this stuff, so I have about a 35% chance of keeping my hair. We'll see. I'm good either way. I'm more concerned about the peripheral neuropathy. While it's not as bad in other areas regarding side effects, it does have a high percentage of risk for peripheral neuropathy. Been there, done that, and it gets bad. That, however, usually doesn't present itself until further into the treatments.
Of course, last month Dh found out his brother and wife were coming down from Ohio. They made plans. They're coming over later today. My step-son is coming too. They're all going to an Oak Ridge Boys concert, then coming back here after the concert. I saw them (Oak Ridge Boys) last year, and as I mentioned I'm really tired, so I don't want to go. I'll stay home, with the grands, and rest while they're gone.
