The Old Folks Home

When we went to NC last fall, we detoured through PGH to visit Diane. I got to see a lot of her work in person. That, and meeting her, was definitely the highlight of the trip.

Her set of pencil drawings of homeless people really moved me. As I said, the eyes.... oh my, the eyes...

Hubby met her at Art Institute of Pittsburgh, when they were both in the photography program there. She married one of their photography professors (all I know is his first name was "Dave;" he's passed on). Hubby refers to him as "the best professor I've ever had."
