We live right down from a big canyon opening. Boy we get the wind at times. Feels great in the summer, not so much in the winter.Good morning, OF - wind and chill this morning.
Yep, as you know, I know this pain. I had the left done. Was having some pretty good pain in my right one later, of course. Was in the hospital to go through the fun again, but after my blood work came back, they said, nope. You're two points away from being hospitalized for low potassium. Surgeon wanted me to go home and eat some bananas, take some potassium, then come back in. The Anesthesiologist came to me after and suggested that I take some time taking the potassium and knowing its up before coming back in. Long story short. Now taking horse pills. Every day. Did not go back for surgery. I had gone in for a shot to help until I could go back in. Surgeon gave me some exercises to do and said, you may not need surgery if you do these. WHAT?! It has been doing well. Won't be going back to him if it's needed in the future.Morning everyone. It's been a while so I thought I'd drop in and see how everybody is doing.
I finally got released by my orthopedic surgeon. My shoulder still isn't healed completely and lets me know that on a regular basis but he says that at this point more PT will only make me sorer and I won't be completely healed until next May. Surgery is considered healed at 6 months but it takes the shoulder a full year to recover. I'd like to say it's been fun but it hasn't been. The final consensus is that I had thinned out my tendons due to my active live style and all it took was one good jolt for everything to fail. No guarantee it won't happen to my left arm. DH said if it fails we'll just get it repaired. I said No way I'm going through this again.
Doctor told me this is one of the roughest surgeries to go through as far as bones are concerned.Yeah, I can attest to that as can anyone who has gone through it.
So at this point I'm wanting a redo on the summer of 2025.
