Your new place sounds great. What do you plan to study in school?

Clinical or counseling psychology. Getting in to these programs is competitive, so I'm pretty nervous. I'm going to apply to 4-6 programs, and hopefully I'll get into at least one.

Right now I'm studying math like the dickens to retake the GRE. When I took it 4 years ago, my verbal was in the right ballpark for these programs, but my math was too low. I didn't take the time to study last time, so I'm hoping that studying will do the trick now.

I really like this blue clean faced girl. Her neck feathers have some light brown in them, but the body is a solid blue. Really pretty girl.

Hello all! No you haven't missed the big announcement, I had to wait for him to pop the question. They got here Wednesday evening but he didn't ask until yesterday. We have been having fun and he was waiting for the best time.

I learned a very important lesson yesterday: when going to the gun range wear a high neck, tight fitting shirt. A spent shell ejected from my gun yesterday, fell right down my V neck tshirt and landed in my bra. It was about 436908 degrees.

OUCH! I've had a number of odd things end up down there, but never something so HOT! (Don't think too deeply on that...

)

I'm not surprised it's happened to others, but I never would have predicted it! I do have a burn from it, but it doesn't hurt too bad today.

It was a Walther P22 that was the guilty party. I love that gun, easy and cheap to shoot. We are fairly heavily armed over here, so yesterday we also took the XDS 45ACP out, the Glock 40 and my Ruger LCP. The Ruger is my concealed carry piece, a new purchase. I was very disappointed with it. One round didn't go off (that always scares me) and while I can believe that it may be a bad round, the gun then started to jam frequently after putting about 20 rounds through it. We'll clean it again and take it back out but if it continues to jam I'll have to take it back. Any suggestions for a replacement? I refuse to shoot the Glock, but I do like the XDS. My favorite besides the Walther is the Ruger SP101 revolver... fun to shoot and no risk to my chest!

Why do all the 'parts' that felt fine when I went to bed hurt in the morning when I get up?

I hear you!! Years ago I decided I needed to manage those aches and pains, and eventually discovered what I eat really makes a difference. I smashed my wrist-- actually, a horse kicked my wrist and needed multiple surgeries to mostly fix. It took TWO years to heal. I was told I would have arthritis. If I eat right, low carb, no pain in my wrist. I can do everything again, including crawling on my hands and knees and bouncing a basketball.

PS. I have young boys! LOL

Love the unique ring and I'm glad it was a happy ending.

My Achilles tendon locks up some mornings when I get out of bed and I walk like quasimoto for the first 30ish minutes. Everything is where I left it, I believe, with the exception of my hair. I could join an 80s hair band with my looks in the morning. And possibly slay a dragon with my breath. I'm a winner in the mornings!

Arielle, more about the diet, please. I do know that if I go low carb, I generally feel somewhat better. I'm thinking that food from the nightshade family also causes some of the aches and pains. No way am I giving up my tomatoes.

Superchemicalgirl, ouch! That’s a new one on me. I can’t think of the name of the gun I picked up in a shop a while back. It felt so light, so easy to handle, but pricey. I like the simplicity of a .38 revolver and, because I have had trouble with carpal tunnel and tendonitis at times, I find some of the other types difficult to “rack back.” What is it you don’t like about the Glock?

Wisher, I enjoyed our visit so much! Too bad it was getting so warm. Yes, my DH rarely meets a stranger, but I may have to leave him home when we get together for lunch so you and I can talk.

Looking forward to our lunch!

- it's really just a plinking gun that we picked up a while back. Love the names of your horses!

Yeah, we enjoy shooting. It's something fun to do for an hour every week or two. I also enjoy feeling protected, whether I am or not in reality. My ex was a creepy stalker for some time after we broke up. I still keep a loaded 12 gauge shotgun next to the bed, just in case of anything. Don't have dogs, just an attack rooster during the day. There have also been some home invasions in the area and a lot of robberies. Prescription drug abuse is huge up here. Also BF and I are both pharmacists - the State of Maine Board of Pharmacy posts our phone numbers and home addresses online. If someone was truly angry with one of us, it would be simple as pie to come here. We don't have kids and if kids visit all the guns that are out go into the safe in the basement. We try to be safe and responsible gun owners.

The Glock 40 is too much for me - it's too fat for me to grip comfortably, and too much of a kick for me to want to shoot it. I want to have fun, not shoot something powerful just to shoot it.
