Sunny and 60-ish here, heading for a high in the mid-70's. We've had frost several times recently, and a few days when the temperature never got out of the 40's. But, this is what I love about living here - cold spells never last for very long, and they get interspersed with days like this, when it's a shame to be indoors. Why am I still on this silly computer?!!

Okay, I'll add my weather report to the list. Got up at 6:00 this morning to drizzling rain and the dog wouldn't go out. I had to don the rain hoodie and get wet with her. Lucky for us, it is in the upper 50's so we weren't freezing. She still wouldn't 'go' so I brought her back in and put her into her kennel with a towel to roll on and to wait. An hour later, DH got up and took her out in like fashion. She decided to cooperate (or couldn't wait any longer) and was allowed to come in and play with her favorite toys under the dining room table. Housebreaking is going very slow with this one. Anybody have a solution for potty time on a rainy day? A big umbrella? A tarp?

Inside on rainy days usually involves cleaning.........................and computer!

You all are lucky. We may bust 35 degrees here today but that is not for sure. DH is in Yuma for the next week and a half. One word about the temps in the 70's and 80's there and I swear

straight to the moon Alice!

It's going to be a high of 60 here today. It was incredibly foggy this morning.

I did not catch my rat last night and it burrowed into the duck house again (the duck house has no floor) overnight. It tripped the rat trap (but didn't die) and then ate the peanut butter off the mouse trap without setting it off. So besides doing more to the goat house, I'll be scheming of ways to make a rat die today.

SCG you talking of rat traps reminds me of when my brother and I were trying to kill some squirrels in my mom's attic. We set the big rat traps with peanut butter. Went and checked the next day, dang things had made off with the traps (never did find them) and not a single dead squirrel.
