The Olive-Egger thread!

Awww they aren't ugly...they are cute! They just look like they have bedhead lol. I only have one female and one male olive egger so far (still chicks). I was gonna get rid of the solid black male but now he's getting these huge muffs and looks like a shiny black ameraucana with feathered legs. Darn I might have to keep him lol.

Hey Happy Chooks,

I noticed that your three week olds are outside already. Did a broody hatch them? Because I am also in N. Cal, and have some chicks in the brooder, and soon will have more chicks. I wonder if I could put them out in the coop. (I mean, protected from the other chickens)

I was surprised by an egg today! My Oliver eggers are just a week and a half shy of 5 months. If I can figure out how to post a picture I will. (I did it a long time ago) It is more teal then olive, with a small spray of brown, and really matt like.. not glossy. yipee!
