Yes, I have. A few of them said the same thing - one of the best they have seen - but then I think they were mad because I can't have roosters so I can't breed her.
I invited their roosters to come over for a tryst in the sun some day, but no takers yet.
Between her, my Olive Egger, two Ameraucana (one of which has feathered feet! and no, it's not an EE (well, maybe technically), it came from eggs from a good Ameraucan breeder here in Florida. She couldn't believe it!), and one EE, I could make all kinds of pretty babies!!
I got my first Olive Egg today! I hatched this girl from Onthespot's eggs last spring. I was SO excited to find the egg today! It made my weekend! Onthespot, I'd really like some barred eggs when you're selling again. I gave my friend the barred chicks from the hatch and I'm so jealous of her hens now!
The egg looks different colors depending on the lighting. It looks very olive inside, and sort of sage green outside. In some of the pictures it almost looked blue to me - but I swear it's olive!
You sure it isn't just a khaki green color? Often an egg can be a "khaki green" as some Ameraucana breeders call it. . . In some light, it looks green, some light it looks olive, and at times it just may appear blue. It's basically, though, a pale greenish color.
I guess it's just khaki green - quite disappointing to wait 6 months for an olive egg, and then be told it's not actually olive! Oh well, maybe next time!
