Nothing would hatch from them...

We're roo-less at the moment, hopefully that will change by next year though.

Ha- as soon as I put my marans roo back in the coop they all stopped laying! Eggs, that is. They are laying feathers all over the place

Am hoping to get a couple of ameraucana hens and a marans roo next month so I can quit drooling all over my monitor.

So it must be the blue copper you hatched from my flock that you posted pics of???? In both cases, please do post pics from time to time. I like to see how the "next generation" is doing. I'm rarely on BYC these days, just too busy, but I do pop in every few months and sometimes a little more frequently. I bought a herd of "wild" horses and I've been busy with them and restoring our old home all summer.

Hello, I'm new to this thread and haven't read all the posts, but here are some pics of our olive eggers.
I got them from a BYCer who crossed a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana roo with some of her Marans hens, BCM, I think.
They were the cutest chicks ever and turned out to be lovely hens.
Yesterday, one of them laid their first egg. I was soooooo excited!!!!!! Still am.
