The Olive-Egger thread!

Easy, just use a thumb tack and make one large hole on one side about the size of half a pencil eraser or maybe bigger and another pin size hole on the other side. I use a straw to blow the air into the smaller hole to force the yolk out of the larger hole. You have to get some pressure added for a continues time to get it to work, goodluck!

Thanks

I use a needle to make the holes and only make the biggest hole maybe 1/4th of an inch and the other a bit smaller. Put your needle (or whatever) in the largest hole and stir it around to break up the yolk, then blow it out from the smaller hole. Stirring the yolk up makes it much, much easier.

I'm pretty dumb (but I bet someone else wants to know too) how do you blow them out, isn't the yolk thick

.
I blew out some eggs today, thought it was a fun egg picture!

you can get a fairly inexpensive kits like this one: http://www.ukrainiangiftshop.com/Blas-Fix-Egg-Blower/productinfo/EBB/ make sure to use a toothpick or something to break the yolk first, though. I really like this kit, it's easy to use and only puts a hole in one end of the egg, which can be covered up with a little hanging piece (like this http://www.ukrainiangiftshop.com/Chicken-Egg-Size-Findings/productinfo/FINC/ ).

ooooooh!! Thanks for that link! I ordered the instruction book 1 and the kit with all the dye colors and an egg blower. They have all kinds of wax and funnel things but I am not sure what all I would need. So after I get the book I think I might re-order that fancy stuff I need to make cool eggs!
FUN!!

Look how the egg color has changed for this hen.....from olive to practically blue!
The pic is of the original OE shell I saved compared to the egg I got from the same hen today:
