The Olive-Egger thread!

I forgot who asked (and it was a few pages back), but this is an Isbar. They are terrific chickens!



Theoretically they should have two copies of a colored egg gene, so all of your Isbar x Marans chicks will be Olive Eggers.

I was told they would hatch B/B/S. I think I have 2 blacks and a blue, although I'm still having trouble identifying everyone in this mixed hatch!

OH cross them with BIRCHEN Marans and keep the color pattern.... if you could get the egg color right too they would breed true

I believe mine were from an Amerucana hen, and a Barnevelder roo. So without pea comb they are less likely to pass on the gene. What would a combination comb look like?

These are my 3 OE girls. The combs look straight to me.





I had the straight combs with mine as well and all laid olive eggs.
