The Olive-Egger thread!

Id love to see more eggs from everyone in general if possible. Id love to see what everyone gets from their OE chickens and what is their favorite shade and what they are striving for when breeding forward.

My 2 OEs are 22weeks and 15weeks old so I still have some waiting to do.

Some eggs from my gals. The third from the left is from the Olive Egger. She is slate gray and only 4 months old.

Does anyone have dark olive eggs with even darker speckles? That is what Iam hoping for in at least one of my OE.

Here's some of my olive eggs on the right. I'm not sure they can all be described as "olive", but I like the varying shades of green as well.

Very nice eggs!

Yes, I do have speckled green eggs. They are from Crele Penedesenca crossed with Cream Legbar.

Just got my first olive egg. Lavender Ameraucana Rooster over FBCMarans hen, hatched in May. Picture taken with flash which washed the light brown to almost white and the medium brown to pale brown.

I JUST found out today that one of my black australorp pullets is actually an easter-egger! (Like, slight pea comb - barely differentiable from a single comb - and BA all the way in all other aspects.) Her eggs are quite green (mint with white speckles), so I thought, let's google olive-egger and see what the difference/deal is.... Well, I've seen a couple posts about people creating olive eggers from BAs crossed with blue-gened, pea-combed breeds.... This thread is so huge right now that I haven't read past page 6... I could be here another year reading, lol!... So, my question is, if I breed my EE aka BA hen to a BA roo, will I get an olive-er egg out of the girl babies? Or will they get closer back to brown?
