My friend lives in England and is un able to find olive eggers. After I showed her some of the eggs they produce, she was hooked! Does anyone know of a way she can get hold of some or know if they are called something else there? She doesn't have space to breed her own, so ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :) :(

England has easy access to cream legbars. Cross with Marans and you will have olive eggers!

My 1st olive egg! I hatched my girls this spring. Ended up with 2 crested hens. I'm not sure if they're both laying yet or not.
400

Now if I cross my girls back to a BCM roo, the chicks will lay even darker olive colored eggs?

For the most part yes, but you will have a chance of the blue egg shell gene not being present--some of the eggs will be dark brown and not green.

Blue is dominant but the first cross will make the OE hens lose one blue egg shell gene. The next generation back to dark brown will introduce only a white gene from the dark egg layer, so you can get two recessive white egg shell genes.

out of my 5 on day five, one didn't develop. So a few days ago, I got and put in incubator 7 RIR eggs. and put in 2 of my eggs, and 5 from a different farm. 3 EE/olives, and 2 welsummer mixes Below is my Homemade incubator, and a pick of a diff hatch.
. How did u make the incubator ...
