Nice eggs, jeremy!

I call that last color cafe au lait. It looks like the color of my morning coffee, but with a tinge of green.

All my olive eggers lay either that coffee color, or the olive in the first post. I'd like to have more of those lime greens in the second and third photo. One girl lays close to that color, but I don't know which hen is her mother. Mostly, I love getting the variety.

What is the egg color like from a Crele Penedesenca X Cream Legbar?

I haven't seen too many Penes with good egg color (dark), so I can't imagine that the OE offspring would lay a very dark olive colored egg either?

What are you trying to compare them too and how many Pene's have you seen? They are pretty rare.
Crele seem to lay the lighter of the Pene's but are still a rich warm terra cotta. I have been getting some nice dark eggs with mine. Some lighter than I would like as well but many pene eggs seem to also have the bloom.
They are not as dark as a Copper Maran but are as dark or Darker than Welsummer's . I have gotten nice olive eggs from Barnevelders x Ameraucana.
The pene x legbar eggs I have seen have been pretty nice.

My Frizzle OE is 4 weeks old this weekend. Comb has grown quite a bit but is still pale. Do you think there is any chance this is a pullet? I want to keep her so badly, she is the prettiest thing Ive ever seen!

once I get my boxes I can offer some. I have just set 45 eggs

one more reason to use EEs. some may lay dark green eggs from the get go.

I am not sure which of my four EE's laid it though. LOL

My 3 OE girls all lay different eggs. One lays a dark olive green, one is green with brown spots, and one lays a wierd green eggs with a green top and it fades to a more brownish bottom. The shells are all blue tinted when you look at the inside though...
