The Olive-Egger thread!

Went out to get photos of my SLW for a friend on here today, and got a few of my Olive Egger. Thought I would check out this thread and post some photos of her and her egg. She just started to lay a few weeks ago. Question..do the eggs get lighter as time goes on for these..as do the Marans?

A cute little EE in the back that hasn't started to lay yet..hopefully next month.

She is very pretty!

Yes, they get lighter as the brown lightens during the egg laying cycle.

Thanks Ace. How is the weather out your way? We had ourselves a little blizzard today. Didn't last long, but the snow is still falling.

Could you remind me of the F1 egg color they hatched from, I cant remember.
Yes!

Very nice!

What color are you hoping to accomplish with your F2?
Darker green.

This is called Back to Parent 2, because the first generation was Cream Legbar Cockerel X Crele Penedesenca pullets. I am breeding back to the Penedesenca parent.

It is the B2 Generation.

I did not know this until recently.

They are very sweet little guys!
