The Olive-Egger thread!

You guys. My new Olive Egger chick IS. THE. SWEETEST. She just melts any time I pick her up. Her new fave pastime is to jump onto the highest thing she can, turn around, jump off, turn around, and jump back up again as many times as she can.
She's Wheaten Ameraucauna over Red Star from Secret Hills Ranch in Alpine, CA. I can't speak highly enough of Missy and her breeding operation.

Meet Charlie Brown (Chuck, according to my husband)!

I got my Olive egger there in June. She is Wheaten Ameraucana over Blue Maran, she is white with a few black spots so cute. Hoping to get my first Olive egg sometime in Nov. I love Secret Hills and Missy is awesome! Can't wait to see how your little will end up looking.

She's going to be splash- she's already a gorgeous cream color with a few red/brown feathers. I think she'll have cheeks, too!!!

I wanted so many! But I already had 3 others I was adding them to so I couldn't go crazy. This is my first chicken keeping so if it goes good this season I may go back there next year for a maran roo to make some fun crosses.

Hi all! "Pat" hatched out August 31st and is 1/4 CCL & 3/4 FBCM and the only egg from that batch that wasn't a sex-link chick.

Any thoughts on gender?

Boy? Girl? Too soon to tell?

Watch those wattles, looks a bit pink, if it's a cockerel it'll redden up in the next week or two.
