I have one cuckoo marans and she does not have feathered legs. I wish she did have feathers to cover up those pasty white limbs. Sometimes I call her Ghost Leg.

Yes, white to slate legs. It is not very attractive in the mud--which is why the English standard is clean legged--no feathers there!

I have one blue birchen cuckoo Marans (yes, you read that correctly...) that has heavy feathering on shanks and toes. I think it's lovely. Purchased as an egg as a blue cuckoo, then feathered out with the birchen also.

I believe the pink one is from my new Orpington. Hummm, what if I cross my OE with my pink egg layer? I also have a Marans/ Welsummer I'm waiting for eggs from hopeing they will mix well with the OE.
