I have six legbar x Marans crosses in the brooder right now. One is a crested pullet, but the rest look like cockerels. Urgh! I hope I'm wrong.

They can have big combs early so Keep hope up!I have six legbar x Marans crosses in the brooder right now. One is a crested pullet, but the rest look like cockerels. Urgh! I hope I'm wrong.
Since a pullet takes a while to get into the swing of things, it is hard to tell what the normal egg will be. The eggs are shaped differently but could be from the same pullet.I found another greenish pullet egg today. It was laying on the ground and I almost thought it was a rock. Wondering if this is from my OE girl or one of the EE girls. They are all the same age. I also found the WL egg under the coop. Pullets drive me crazy with their nonchalant egg layings.
The newest egg is on the right. What do you think? Could it be the second one in two days from an OE? Or more likely a first from another OE pullet or maybe even an EE?

Yep, three of the boys had huge combs starting at 1 week. One I culled, one I kept (he's my favorite and I couldn't do it) and the third one started to look more like a pullet. He still has the characteristics of a cockerel but his comb isn't red anymore. I'll try to take some pictures of them tonight.
Just an FYI, I got some mixed eggs this summer. They were all Wheaten Marans crosses. All the chicks hatched out yellow, and then colored out like Wheatens. The males were black by 4 weeks and the females were red/brown in color. There are some variations due to mixing, but it seems like the Wheaten color was dominant. My rooster is very colorful, so I should be getting some real color stunners off of those two.
