The Olive-Egger thread!

I just wanted to share some of my olive egger pullets. They are just coming into lay. They have Marans mothers and a rumpless Araucana father. The pullets came out 90% rumpless while their male counterparts are 90% tailed, very interesting. The males are also have a lot more gold, they are calico colored.
OMG I am in love!!! The are the most beautiful chickens EVER, I have never bred/ hatched my own chicks before, but I think ai might have too now!!! :celebrate :weee :love :drool :yiipchick :woot :ya  :lau   :p :D :)

One of my OE pullets started laying eggs today. Her eggs aren't quite as dark green as her prior 'sisters' eggs were/are but it's still fun to finally have a green/olive egg layer again!

Eggs are next to blue and white eggs.

Hoping to see some eggs from her hatch mate/sister soon.

13 chicks so far, 9 pips and 4 unknowns. Hooray!

The parents. Blue and Splash Marans. Top pic is one of the Mamas. The father isn't a traditional color, he is golden, but he is still pure Araucana. Included is an example of the eggs they are starting to lay. I sold a clutch of babies to a friend, and the egg came from the bird i sold her..i am still waiting for the rest to lay. I think I have about 16 of them.

Pretty!

OUCH!!!!!

My largest so far has been 88g
