Greetings!
I am working on making an Olive Egger... I have an egg basket of multiple colors - but missing the green!
I currently have 4 Americaunas. I have 3 roos. A light brahma, Barnvelder, and Russian Orloff. My first batch of hatched blue eggs came from an easter egger, not an Americana - and one of the pullets was killed by the neighbors dog. I have another pullet from the Easter Egger, but I cannot tell if she is laying tan or green eggs. I have one very faint green egg - just a tiny bit more green than blue that I think still may be coming from an Americana - its not truly an "Olive" color.
I have two 16-18 week pullets that are Brahma/Americauna crosses with puffy cheeks and then couple more chicks that are 4 weeks old. Looking to sell the Brahma - dominant bird with a dominant white color to try to let my Barnvelder be king -- should help with the olive color.
But I'm not a true breeder - more of a backyard enthusiast. I let me birds free-range together all day and I'm not ready to break them apart and isolate the americaunas with the barnvelder...
