incubator is still running still one pipping in shell and two alive one grey one black...
not sure how long to sit on the other three eggs

I'd let them go for another couple of days. I have had eggs hatch and chicks survive two days after the rest of them hatched. Good luck!

Ok, genetics aficionados, here's another question. If I let my OE cockerel (once he's of age) mate with my Black Copper Marans or Blue Copper Marans, what color could the offspring be? That would be my preferred pairing, to get the darker olive eggs.

Here is a picture of the presumed cockerel--he is Welsummer x Cream Crested Legbar, currently 8.5 weeks old:

Alternatively, if I put him with my EEs or Blue Ameraucana, what could the offspring look like? Here are the EEs in question, since of course they don't all look the same--one is the standard sort you often see from hatcheries, the other has more of a dilute wild type coloring I've always really liked:

If coop space and exceeding neighbors' tolerance were no issue, I'd like to do just that! Unfortunately....

Have you candled the other 3 to see if they have internally pipped yet?

Good idea.. when the other is done you should check out hands on hatching thread. It's helped me save quite a few chicks..

Okay, I'll ask a stupid question! What is inside pipping? Thanks to BYC, I tend to learn something new each day!

been watching all the data I could find here the last 21
days and before downloaded many a pdf and created a few
others to look later... the other eggs are not showing any
movement to the bottom of the eggs has not changed
at all from when I put them in

They may be duds. Can you see any veining on them? Yeah I've probably downloaded everything on here as well lmao..

Internal pipping is when the chick or whatever your hatching breaks through the inner membrane but hasn't made an outer hole. Once it has internally pipped they usually will externally pip within 24 hours for chicks. Longer for ducks and geese.
