The Olive-Egger thread!

Finally, I have electric back after seven full days without it. Hurricane Matthew did not take any of my chickens or, miraculously, damage their home! My olive eggers decided to stop laying for several days though. I'm sure they'll get back in the swing of things once they settle back down.

That is exactly what we did! We cooked over a campfire for breakfast, lunch ad dinner. Hot coffee, grits, eggs with sausage, rice with meaty gravy, s'mores, hotdogs, baked beans, fire-baked potatoes. The big freezer had a solid block of ice in it from not being defrosted in awhile, so we used that to keep meats cool. Eggs were gathered daily (thanks feathered ladies) We lost everything in the fridge though! LOL
Since the well was without electricity, we hauled drinking water from the local park.

Some pics of my olive egger juvies :)

I have 3 of these ladies who are believed to be Crested Cream Legbar x Blue Copper Marans pullets.

I have a super cute little Lavender Ameraucana x Black Australorp pullet too but I don't have a pic of her apparently :) She has super puffy muffs and beard, LOL!

I just did the cross of Cream Legbar over Golden Laced Wyandotte. They are BeAUtiful. I am wondering what color egg they will lay. Also, did you ever breed then back to a Cream Legbar rooster?
