The Olive-Egger thread!

Yes- that's a pullet. Look at those dainty little legs! Too cute

BuckaBucka - yes, I had a straight combed girl that laid green eggs. From what I'm told, though, it's only about a 5% chance that a straight combed pullet will have received the blue egg gene.

OK guys I need some OE pics please if anyone has them-

Welsummer roo over wheaten ameraucana hen- offspring or eggs or both

Blue Copper roo over wheaten ameraucana hen- offspring

I have some lovely blue wheaten eggs in the bator- betting the wellie is the dad. All of my other OEs look like welsummers with beards so far. Thanks!

hm. I'm contemplating putting my blue ameraucana roos over my barnevelder girls (when they start laying, anyway)... anyone ever made that cross? I'm kinda wondering how the double-lacing would be passed down. I know regular lacing is passed on the X chromosome like barring, but not sure about double lacing...

My olive eggs are getting increasingly darker with each generation and now with a golden cast. Here's a picture someone took at the egg show - my eggs are far left.
