For us it was 59 years this time and, as usual for us, I cooked. We dont usually go out because around here you can get anything--as long as it's barbecue which neither of us likes. This year I did shrimp stir fry with just about every fresh veggie I could find. For Solstice I'll probably do scampi. Yumm!

I will throw my hat in the ring too. Our anniversary is on the 12th. Will be 39 years. Time sure has flown by. Not doing anything special here. Just being thankful I caught a good one.

Yes, Angus is being a good one. I keep wanting to all him Atlas because, well, big BR rooster, similar comb. Atlas was never that energetic. Hector came close, but Angus is a catergory unto himself.

Read all the previous posts. Glad you were able to find someone willing to take Nathaniel. He will get a second chance and you don't have to deal with him anymore.

We just celebrated our 39th on Nov 21. We didn't go out just cooked at home together. Quiet, peaceful evening. Sometimes there is just no place like home!

It was fine, very chilly and wet, but we got a Walmart meat lover's pizza (med size) and added more pepperoni, Italian sausage and some finely grated Mozzarella cheese. It satisfied our frugal nature, on sale for about $8.
I had made a cheesecake yesterday for today's special dessert (which we rarely ever eat, almost never really). This will be the last day for a looooong time that I eat anything with grains in it. Even the cheesecake was so rich, I'll have to freeze most of it, but it was really good. Right now, I'm working on my current book before two programs we watch come on from 8-10 p.m. Thank you for all the well-wishes!
