"Get outta my way. I'm after the girl I live for, and I don't have time for you." Scar said coldly, pushing his way past her. "And my girl's waaay prettier than you!" He called over his shoulder to her.

A sudden gunshot rang out from the direction that Akemi had left in.

Scar glanced in the direction that the shot had come from, frowning.

 

[TechnoCat]

The city was left in silence after the shot. There was nothing but the echo.

"'Kemi, I know you're there..." Scar called.

 

[TechnoCat]

There were voices, slightly audible, they were obviously not far. One voice obviously belonged to Akemi.

"You.... Betrayal. You are alone again. You will never... someone like him."

Akemi's reply was quieter than the first voice: "... True. If what... is true... Then I will never... myself."

It was now clear that the other voice was the same voice as her brother, and his reply was audible. "But Akemi, if what Claude said was true, then what will you do?"

"I... I will do nothing. I couldn't... bring myself to harm him." And then there were footsteps. And another shot. Then Akemi's voice: "Don't even try. You'll never kill me."

When he heard the word 'kill' from Akemi, Scar raced in her direction.

Akemi walked across the rooftops of buildings, her silhouette breifly visible against the full moon. She sat down, wrapping her arms around herself as the sky spit snow at her.

Scar appeared behind her in a small gust of wind, his duster fluttering in the wind. "Are you ok?" He asked.

 

[TechnoCat]

She didn't move. "I'm fine. Just exhausted and cold."
