"But names are just something used to identify a bird! It doesn't really mean anything, it just makes talking easier!"

"Obviously, you know nothing about the traditions of crows and ravens. A name is more than just a word for us. It is part of our spirit." one raven spoke.
"Our ancestors were originally named after the strong things of the world, not a lowly tree that we roost upon! Therefore, the tree is below us, and that if Alder continues to live, our traditions will be destroyed!" another raven boomed.
"We even received a prophecy from our ancestors, stating that the crow of a lesser name will destroy our traditions!" yet another raven cawed.
"How come we never got a sign from our ancestors?" a crow from the crowd spoke up.

 

[Magic Birdie]

"Yeah! You're all making this up! If it was real, the crows would have gotten a sign, too!"
They shouted.

 

[K-12 Chickens]

The Boundless Ravens gasped as the flock of crows and ravens started an uproar. The council of ravens huddled and started to murmur among each other, obviously working up a plan.
"Maybe we should just give up and let Alder alone!"
"No! Do you realize what that would do to us? It would make us look weak!"
"We have power over all the other ravens and crows, you know!"
"Right! But we can't just kill Alder!"
"The prophecy-or any prophecy-isn't good enough to get rid of that cursed crow!"
"What if we just let Alder stay for a little while, to see if he causes any trouble. If he doesn't, then we'll make him!"
"I like that idea!"
"As do I!"
"Good!"
The Boundless Ravens turned to the angry flock of crows and ravens and the conures. "We will let Alder stay, as long as he doesn't cause any trouble! At the first word of it, he will be exiled! Does everyone agree?"
Most of the crow and raven flock settled down and shook their heads in agreement.

The conures liked the idea, but they were worried.

"What if someone says that he did something that he didn't do?" Sky asked.

"Someone who doesn't like him and wants him to be exiled," Cloudy said.

Fyre saw some birds talking. He, thinking it would be somewhat funny, flew at them as fast as he could and landed on the branch, making it jerk forward.

"All the birds of the forest are coming now!" a raven groaned as he saw another bird land next to the conures.
"This..."meeting" is finished!" one of the older ravens declared, causing the flock of crows and ravens to scatter.
Alder flew out cautiously from the pine tree and landed next to Cloudy and Sky. "Oh thank you! Oh thank you! Finally I will be able to live in peace!" Alder rejoiced and flew up into the sky. He again landed next to the two conures. "How can I ever thank you both? Anything? Anything at all?"
