Oh they are so pretty I am glad the pair you let go are staying around. Maybe when Geegee lays her eggs she will stay close since she doesn't go off with the other peas.
I agree with Kev, those woods pictures are great! Your woods are beautiful it looks like you are doing a wonderful job keeping them opened up. I bet the birds really love it! I love how they really look like they are exploring and having fun walking all around your place.
Well i thought sure i lost my older male Mr.Perdy Here is the story.
Yesterday morning really early the peas headed across the feild to a patch of woods i do not work on much cause the guineas are the only ones that go there, so several times i wet over there to make some noise and check on them all was fine.
,About 10 am i decided to herd them back to the area i was in cause the new releases no nothing about this area and it's too far for the dogs to hear any problems should something happen by and got after them.
we were in a patch of brush when a rabbit bolted in front of us and one of my dogs spotted it and ran right threw the peas sending them flying and jumping all over the place.
Mr perty took off across the feild and i could bearly make him out rounding the front of the barn in the safe zone and i lost site of him.
I figured no worries he would be standing around somewhere when i got back.
I was wrong he was gone,i went out looking and listening and found no trace of him, by this morning i fiured if i had not heard him i may never see him again, i was sad but thats the breaks free ranging
Well around 12 pm today i went to feed the babies here and there he was like nothing ever happen not a feather out of place, sure wished he could talk case i sure would like to know where he was hiding
Mr .Perty does not know this duck is blind in that eye and keeps trying to scare him with a peacock stare so he will move.
