I didn't know where to post this...
My silkie seems to have adopted my 15wk old pullet? Pippin already has 3 chicks and I thought that was enough until I found her (a week ago) sleeping with one of my younger chickens half underneath her! They have been doing this for a a week now! This little pullet (Blue) had quite a few health problems as a chick so she isn't very independent or brave, maybe she thinks she's still a chick.

that is so sweet! The mothering instinct is very strong in silkies.

My girl Miss Polly. Polly was the only one out of 5 polish chicks we ordered to survive. Slowly one by one her sisters passed just a day after arriving. Polly has tons of personality, she gets very upset if she can't get to her favorite spot on the roost, and she's always the first one in the coop at night.
