Yes. I wasn’t expecting them this quick. So there isn’t a nest box yet. If this is their corner I’ll place it there. Only 2 hens so one or two buckets will do.

They usually start laying at 5 and a half months. They are very good egg layers too

It is a bad one! I lost a blue egg layer yesterday.

They are going on 5 years old so heat and age would be factors.

I add a mister nozzle to the string to help out

I ended up putting a sprinkler in the 2 least shaded.
I only have one green egg layer and she has stopped laying before the heat.

Today is very weird here. A thunderstorm band moves south of us-- we have clouds and light rain. South of us had rain and wind.

The lowest for last night was 90F. We go to 108F today so I will need to monitor the chickens and add water if needed.
