Here he is Sam I Am

He is getting big almost 21 weeks no longer afraid of the girls.

2 of his 3 sisters are starting to squat.

He's a good looking boy! Zorro makes nice looking babies!
He is so much nicer now that he is free to roam with the ladies. Still need to deal with the crowing but he does early in the morning and when we spend time outside. Otherwise he is a good boy. I love to watch him call the girls for treats. Not like they need it but its fun to watch him.

Hi everyone. Hope your birds are doing OK in the heat. I have a question. I let my pitas out at around 1 pm today, and even though it was already quite hot, the first thing they did was spread out on the sunniest part of the gravel path for a sunbathe, snuggled up together. Are pitas just so heat tolerant that this is OK, and they can monitor for themselves when they are too hot? Or should I discourage them from doing this on very hot days? I am running a mister (thanks, Ron!) in the afternoon for them, and their run is in the shade.

Mine are doing fine!

They usually do very will in the heat. Make sure they move to the shade but they will move. The mister system makes a big difference.
