Your girls are so pretty after their winter molt! Thank you for sharing new pics! We've been pretty quiet lately. Is anyone besides Chris hatching Pita Pinta yet? I've been hatching Langshan but want to get my PP pens set up this week.

Thank you, @PetRock ! They will appreciate the compliment.

I am looking forward to seeing more cute chick pictures.

The delaware will be 2 weeks tomorrow the others on tuesday growing fast and so cute. They love the brooder plate and love everytime I put food out they come out and eat. Still getting used to the people coming to see them but not too afraid. Feeding wet mash has kept the waste and mess to a minimum. Did the leg dangle test on them again looks like 3 boys and 1 girl. The pita boys seem to get shoulder feathers pretty quick if I recall.

Yes and I have so many pullets this year!  I haven't set up my Pita Pinta breeding pens because I need to slim down the number that I already have. :)

(woo first post on this thread, hi everybody!)

How much longer do you expect to have excess pullets? I've finally managed to rustle up some room for new birds and Pita Pintas are one of the breeds I've been wanting to bring in, but I probably wouldn't be able to arrange a trip thataways for at least two weeks.

What age are your pullets at the moment?

I've got my first PP batch in the incubator, along with my Marans and other eggs! 8/11 are progressing normally, 1 looked iffy, but I left it. Two I tossed. First hatch from the birds I hatched from your eggs last year, Debi! :D (Your Don Juan's grand babies? )

I have three broodies right now, so may stick these eggs under them and start a new batch cooking! Only PP and Marans next time. This time I stuck in five CCL from our trio, four Spitz from a friend's quintet, and three F2 OE. Just needed a partridge in a pear tree!
