The Pita Pinta Asturiana

Thank you. They are much bigger now. Let's see pictures of your pita s
how old were they in your photo? I'm trying to compare mine with yours. The breeder told me mine are 3 months old, but they seem so small although they do have their adult feathers...
p.s. wanted to take a photo of them this morning for you, but my camera battery needs recharging. I'll post one this afternoon.

@h2oratt here are the promised photos :)

Your birds are very pretty. They have way more white than mine..I have to look back and see when they hatched. I think last may. I have two cockerel so I need to find a home for one.

Every so often, I search the internet for more information on Pita Pinta. I sure wish that I could at least read Spanish! I found a page with several videos and one is a school unit on Pita Pinta. It is so cute!

This is the page with links to other videos. If any of you speak Spanish and learn anything new about our breed, please share with the rest of us!

Hi PetRock, I am in Spain, but not Asturias, which is the Atlantic coast in the north, I live near the Mediterranean on the Costa Blanca, Alicante region of Communidad Valencia, in the South. I have just extended my small flock with 3 Pita Pintas pullets, who are around 3 months or younger. (I think the breeder got his hatching dates mixed up as they are much smaller and look younger than photos of 3 month olds) I am on a steep learning curve and am researching as much as I can about these beautiful birds, reading up on Spanish as well as English articles. I'm really pleased I've found this thread. And if I find anything about Pitas here in Spain I'll let you guys know...
