Nice Kenny its alright on the shipping price you'll eventually forget about it. The joy and awesomeness of them will be the cure and the mind over matter factor will kick in LOL

Barred Rock F1 pullets update.

The vast majority of the F1 pullets, as expected, got some blurring of the barring as a result of the cross to a Maine line fork that was recently outcrossed to White Plymouth Rock for breeding enhancement. This blurring was completely expected and the outstanding type along with faster feathering, quicker to come to laying and overall vigor has been very rewarding.

Not all the F1 pullets got blurred barring. Some inherited their XW/GSBR sire's tight barring genes. This occurred in approximately 20% of the offspring and only in the females, of course.

Dahlisgram posted a photo of one such tightly barred F1 female earlier. We did a very late test mating and one of the pullets hatched also got the tight barring gene. Thought you might like to see an updated photo of her.

She's in back, behind her hatch mate sister.
