I think it would be overwhelming to see Monsanto's budget to promote GMO….and the highest chunk goes to our politicians.

I think the scary thing is GMO corn cross-pollinating the organic farmers is quite a dilemma. Soon all will be GMO.

You probably should call your eggs what most people are accustomed to seeing at the supermarket.

From your description of your setup, I would say "Farm Fresh Free Range Eggs".

I read somewhere that the "fresh" eggs at grocery stores are already 3 weeks old.

I started noticing years ago that store fresh eggs float to the top when boiled. When I was growing up they did not. Didn't know what that meant til I joined BYC.

Now all my eggs sink!

Yep, then they will make farmers pay them for the seeds even though the farmers never wanted to use GMO seeds. Thats what they do. It wouldn't surprise me if they leased lands next to farmers who didn't convert to cross-pollinate their fields.

Actually the farmers are trying to get a bill/law? to protect them…..don't hold your breath.

If you garden and haven't done so, next year get only organic seeds. Did so this year and had a bumper crop…and my hens prefer the non-gmo treats!

And save your own seed! They adapt so quickly to your specific soil type and microclimate that your crop yields improve each season
