The problem with letting chickens in the house...

my favorite hen (Cricket) and her side kick (Ginger) will do this. and cricket looks so darn CUTE!! she just lays on the porch and preens, waiting for me to come and get her and bring her into the house. i will bring her in and put her on my lap for awhile and pet her. but i will not let her run around the house cuz she'll be sure to poop. but she has never pooped on me.....so that's good!! it's hard to pass by the door and see her there and not go pat her or bring her in. chickens are so cute and sweet!

You think that's Bad.... be glad you don't have one of these !

WOW! what an amazing bird! i've always been interested in Emus.....but can't have any where i'm at. is he nice? i've heard that they can be mean.

Mine usually show up around treat-time, knock on the door, and say "Can Mommy come out and play?" (at least in chicken talk).

He's a sweet heart. Most are not mean, but people think they are by how they look and act. They are very very very curious and will bite at things they find interesting wither that be moles they think are bugs on your arm, shiny earrings or glasses, jewelry... etc.... they aren't being mean.. just can't help themselves.

Awesome! I'd hate to see what kind of "presents" one of those leaves on the back patio though. I have to hose my patio off several times a day as it is...yukky mess!

you know what's really funny? my chickens come inside when we leave the door open i found one in my room on the 3rd floor. but the place they go the most is straight into the kitchen and they goto the drawer we keep our bread in and the pull it out and start eating all the bread. although if they can't open the drawer my niece ( 18 months ) will walk up to them and open the bread for them and feed them an entire loaf of bread. its funny we had 18 chickens in the kitchen when i came down stairs and my niece was just sitting there feeding them.
