Is that celsius?

Whoops sorry, forgot to respond. Yes. I can never get my head around Fahrenheit - although I know you're all using it, I still envision people being scorched under a blazing sun when I see "70 degrees" or even "50 degrees".

(Thankfully we haven't had any 50 degree days this year but it did get up to 49 point something a bit further north.)

Lol! Yeah, same with celsius! I'm always like, "Wow! That's really cold!" No wait, it's celsius!

There's an equation to convert them but I always forget it.

Not that I know of, nope. I haven't even met all of my extended family though.

How old is the oldest member of your family? (if you are comfortable with saying!)

There aren't many records for my family. I'm sure we could find out when my grandparents were born, but probably no further back than that. Even my father's birthday was probably an approximation by his parents. :p

So certainly dated family records start with me. (And my mother and her siblings, their birthdays are exact, but that doesn't count as the whole generation, lol.)

Same question (good one!)

1747 my family got a land grant from the king of England to move to America. We were Hitchcocks. But then our name was spelt wrong in a censous and our name turned into Hedgecock. We still live on done of the original land and have a working spring built by the Cheerokee Indians b/4 b/4 our family moved there. Alford Hitchcock is a distant relative of mine!
